Bio farm fertiliser in aquarium

Postby prabhuram » Mon Mar 27, 2017 6:09 pm

Hi all,

Recently I saw a micro and macro liquid fertilisers for normal terrestrial plants , below is he screen shot of the product I am talking,

I am wondering what worst can happen if I use this in my planted tank , my tank is all low tech plants with phyto carb as co2 dosing and it has no fishes.

Yes this is meant for garden plants but since it had all the necessary compounds for aquarium plants I am curious to know why cant it be used in aquarium with out fishes ?

Without fish you might just be able to pull it off. Keep us posted of progress.

I dont have any experience on it , i think if you can use it for plant i hope it will work fine on aquarium plant but chemical composition may be harmful for fish
Thanks

be cautious bro it may some add-on chemicals like plant steroid in it which can b good for garden plants(after getting connected in dry air some works as add on urea) but for aquatic plants(inside aquarium) it dissolves in water changing the whole water chemistry which is very harmful for fishes...

coz end of the day u dont want to loos ur fishes

The instruction on the bottle says it has to dissolved with water and then spray on plants ... 1 cup with 1 litre water ...

My aquarium is 50 litre , I am planning to dose them like 5 ml and observe the plants growth ... Hope it will not burn any plants ...

Can micro and macro be dossed on same day ?

I will be adding them in morning 10 mins before lights will be ON. Hope it should be fine ...

u can but have a close look on ur fishes coz adding micro and macro at same time will form a oily layer on top..

i suppose apply every alternate day with manual instruction on the bottle..
