Wonderful set up , looking at it you are doing a very good job, you have kept things simple and efficient , i tried to do too many things and kind of messes up , what ever you are doing is working great...

And welcome to the club, its a very addictive hobby, heavy on pocket too :)

Crypts, reineckii, and Lily are heavy root feeders, may I suggest you to use a thin layer of cleaned soil under sand? You may use construction sand after it has been cleaned and sieved to cap the soil.Further ,I do not think you need to dose micro as you are using low light and no CO2.Perhaps add a 10 watt CFL to help reineckii.Do weekly water changes to replenish trace elements, and may be add KCl 1/4 tsp once in 10 days if you see holes in leaf.

Thank you for your advice... I definitely look into that option of adding soil under sand... Or maybe should I try with root tab? Also will add a CFL...

Root tabs work too..but why waste money when you can get soil for free? ;) You may wish to look into mineralised topsoil method.I've always had grand success with it.

Yup,you must make sure you have all things at hand when you get ready to rescape.Cleaned, washed sand and Cleaned soil- These two take a while,so you may spread your efforts over a few days.
