Since you have a pond I guess you will need quite good quantity. For pebbles you can try horticulture society in Mominpore. It will be economical and you have good variety too. As far as substrate is concerned, what type are you looking for? Buro da's store would be convenient from Santoshpur and I think he can source the type you are looking for.

I don't think 5 kg pebbles will be enough. I think you need way more than that.

At horticulture centre in mominpore I bought for 5 rupees per kg. don't think they will ship and for such heavy items, shipping cost will be pretty high. If you are traveling by train, I guess you can get them in a cement sack and carry it in the train. one time hassle.

i m back in bhubaneswar. yesterday i went to buro da's shop, he was not there but i had a nice chat with his assistant.
he told me if i want to have big fishes which are nicely visible like gold fish and carps i can't have plants in the tank. so i m back to square one as i want to have both.so i m confused. but any ways i will put some floating plants in day or two. then i will think abt the other plants.
i didn't know abt this place in mominpore but i will make trip to kolkata just for the rocks.

The water is turning greenish due to algae after every 4-5 days any suggestions. The tank has 10 carps , 2?oranda goldfish and 2 normal goldfish.
Any suggestions for filters or plants which I can use
