How to start a effective thread

Postby Tirtha » Sat Apr 21, 2012 9:03 pm

Guys, I can see, all of you are posting about your tanks, asking for helps etc etc and I love the enthusiasm. But now lets talk about, how to make the thread most effective from the first post itself.

While posting about your aquarium, Problems, asking for help, mention

Your Tank Size (Dimension and the volume)
Filtration
Live Stock (how many and how Big)
Lights and Photo Period (If Planted/Marine)
Dosing Pattern (if Planted/Marine)
CO2 System (If Planted)
Water params (if Marine)
Temperature

Then post the pictures of your tank or document the problem you are facing.

Posting in this format will answer lot of questions even before asking.

It's more crucial, while posting about any disease or a disaster. it will save a lot of to and fro communication and will save a lot of valuable time to take the right action.

Hope going forward, we will spend a little time to write the required details along with the post.

Good Luck!!
Regards,
Tirtha
