take a blade and cut off the extra silicon from the sides of front view.. it will turn white and look bad in the long run.. its easy to cut it now.. but be careful not to cut the joints..

Dont wanna take risks now as tank have leaked quite a few times.... And this will be a purely experimental tank soo dont wanna worry much

For sake of aesthetics just put a black tape over edge and done...
