Yes i missed it. Not only darios but the badis has also suchas such behavioural traits resembling their cichlid counterparts. I will try to feed them without live food next time!!

Didn't tried to breed them. About their feeding they i will give the reference you asked for regarding tje commercial foods.

A good collection. Presently i am keeping 16 Parambasis lala and 1 badis sp. (wild caught) feeding them on mosquito larvae, mixed zoo plankton(collected from nearby pond) and grindals. I want to keep dario dario with them. Are they available in Galiff street and if so what is the local name of the fish in the market. so that it becomes easier to find or enquire.
