i think one should not care about all those double red, triple red ,quadruple red and so on.when you have got a costly fish(atleast in kolkata

),care should be taken that it doesn't suffer from any illness or being bullied by tankmates or feel insecured in a tank dominated by scaping with little importance to livestock. This time, try to breed it.
The price of this fish should have come down 50 Rs a piece considering how much craze and hype was generated in 2012 but due to unavoidable circumstances the tables were turned in hungry businessmen's favour. This dwarf cichlid is still sold at prices unimaginable not just to indians but abroad too.And if somebody from the west sees that Indians are paying so much for this thing, they will mock us.
i think if this fish is bred in captivity by any hobbyist and a few of those babies distributed to howrah and midnapore breeders the price would definitely come down to 5 or 10 rs a piece and will one day be sold in galiff within plastic packets just like what happened to ramirezi.
Btw i feel rams look much more eye pleasing than apistos but with one exception, apisto cacatuoides which is as good as top quality rams itself.
dont play with the woods like you did last time.let the fishes settle and enjoy.Make sure that they feel the tank like their own home.
i hope a lot of hiding space is there now .All the best
