Showcasing Hardscaping Steps

Postby parthapratim22 » Fri Jul 31, 2015 9:47 pm

Not a promotional post.

Hope you like how we can achieve some simple hardscape.

Let me know your view, following points can be considered for betterment
1) A good amount of substrate elevation gives a hardscape more strength.
2) A thought of vector on total scape is required to achieve the sense of dynamic and hence more interesting.
3) Identifying of proper texture in a rock is also an important factor.

yes thats the best way to start rock scapes IMO.
And good to see that coming from a person who is the best at understanding and arranging rocks better than anybody else in india.

They are really nice, but I'd have shifted the focal point according to rule of third. I'm no expert in rock hardscaping. Have to learn a lot. Experts will rectify me :)

Saurav you are right, but we can shift focus as per requirement, moreover these two are kind of center scapes, hence we can ignore the rule but same time we should ensure ststrengthening of focus.

Thanks for your words.

Very nice tutorial. Please tell me something about driftwood. I want it to sit in the tank in a particular orientation. But when I put it in the tumbler for soaking/seasoning, it is constatnly changing its orientation from the way I want it to be and deciding on its own orientation. Is it because it is not fully soaked yet? Or is it always like that and I have to do something like sink it substantially in the substrate and then flood with water ? Can you throw some light on this please? I think what I have is called spiderwood.
Please PM me for regular FREE clippings of HM, tripartita mini, AR mini and RR hi-red
