Well,

So Here are the ingredients for this project which I collected today from Market. I already have Acrylics purchased last week.

The dimension of this ATS container is 24''(L)x3"(B)X7'(H)
The screen Dimension is 7"X23", so total surface area= 161 Square Inch.
Now as per the rule of ATS , if both sides of the screen are illuminated every square inch will be able to handle the bio load of 1 Gallon water. Hence 161 Gallons of water can be easily maintained using this ATS

1# Transparent Acrylic sheet (cell-cast 5mm thick @ INR130/- per square foot). You can opt for cheaper acrylics (non-cast ranging between INR 60-90 per square foot. Transparent sheet has been used to build the container
of the ATS screen , which will have the water in and out with the screen.

2# Black 5mm cell-cast Acrylic sheet, the same one used for highest grade tank hoods in Kolkata, INR 80/- per square foot. As I will be illuminating both sides of this screen, I have two sets of covers holding the lighting system.
Each of them has the following dimension, 24"(L)x7"(H)x2"(B)
3# LEDs for lighting, 36 RED 630nm/1Watt/3V/350mA & 14 RB 460nm/1Watt/3V/350mA INR @ 20/- each (Without Star base, I did not take Star base as they charge INR 8-10 Each, where I have invested in better material for Heat sink)

4# 1.5" All aluminium U-Channels having 3mm thickness total 12 feet@ INR 60/- Per foot.

5# 4 cooling fans 80mm @ INR 40/- each

6#4 power supplies for LED, 12V/700mA, INR 75/- each( I may need few more , but already have few in stock)

7# Synthetic mosquito screen @INR 6/- each square foot, (about 3 Square foot )

8# Chloroform for welding acrylics INR 60/- and Dispo-Van Syringe INR 5/-( In the US Weldon series acrylic solvent cements are very popular but as of now that product is strictly to be sold within US. Weldon is basically CHCl2, and Chloroform
is CHCl3, both have similar properties which are basically solvents for acrylics, when it is applied to the adjoining acrylics they both melt and gets fused together, once Chloroform evaporates, they Ideally become one single piece of
Acrylic. This is also known as chemical welding or cold welding. Now you know how your acrylic hoods are made, and why they feel so sturdy. )

Tomorrow I will pickup the plumbing accessories and post the details. Now time for pictures !!

Why on earth did u buy blue LEDs for ATS? Blue light is totally unusable by turf algae! #-o
And those Rs.75 drivers are just waste of Money.. they wont last more than a few months! specially in a humid condition..

For 1 Wall LEDs those aluminium rails were also overkill.. they dont get so much hot as 3W ones..

I found few people using a slight mix of Blue in the ATS, which seems to grow them faster. I agree the U-Channels are quite hefty for those 1 watt LEDs, but
as I did not use star base , I got those.
Thanks & Regards..

blue light does not grow algae.. thats why blue lights are preferred in marine tanks in the first place.. those who are using blue in ATS are doing it wrong.. u could have got some warm whites.. but blue is a total waste.. might even kill ur algae becoz the red plus blue will create a purple light which is not suitable for algae at all..
