No, the membrane is rated for 75 GPD, so I asked....

pump generates pressure .. u are replacing the pump becoz u are not getting 75GPD from RO right? if you are getting 75GPD then pump isnt the culprit and dont need to change pump.. measure how much water u are getting per hour approximately if you are getting approx 10L per hour then your pump is fine, your RO membrane is the bottleneck.

Got a frame with added three pre filters, a better pump and an additional membrane..current output is 25-30 litres per hour, TDS Is 16...satisfied :D
Still a little needs to be done about the noise, and water tastes bland without the post carbon at last :p

Hi ,

I am actually trying to assemble a filter system without ROfor my Discus. May i know what function does the separate cannister do? Is it an inline filter?. I did hear that an inline pre-filter ( which can be periodically cleaned by washing the filter) could prevent clogging of your other 3 prefilters.

Regards,
Jagadish

Hello Mithun Da,
I am trying to build a filter system for fresh water aquarium. I don't want to go with RO but require below filtration
1) Sediment Filter (1 micron)
2) Active Carbon Filter (5 micron)
3) A Canister containing Bio-Balls.
I would like to know where I can purchase all parts(Somebody told me filter market is there at Old China Market near Lalbazar). Can you please let me know what type of pumping I would require.
I making this filter just because I dont trust Chinese products and EHEIM/Fluval is out of my pocket.

Thanks,
Debasish

Hi Sammy,

Could you post a full schematic of your RO system?
