Type of salt required for marine aquarium

Postby robinz.alok » Sun Jun 15, 2014 7:49 am

Hi am alok, I officer in para military force and now at Bareilly( UP) after taking VRS and now it's time to carry on my hobby of fish keeping. Since last one year I was keeping freash water fish and tried with planted aquarium too. Now I am switching to salt water aquarium. I am having an 80 gallon tank. What I want to know is why can't we use the salt for marine aquarium which comes in big granule form and easily available in market, as I guess its not processed and is in its raw form .

for fish only tanks, i would suggest instant ocean and seachem on the higher ends and coral pro, blue treasure and prodac in the lower ends.
try avoiding buying the salts which are loose. Also, buy packs like seachem and instant ocean which are packaged from the company itself and cannot be tampered externally.
Regards,
Subhadeep
