Self assembled(diy) lighting setup for 30 gallon reef tank.

Postby Aayaan » Sun Mar 31, 2019 5:51 pm

I have a 2'x2'x1'(h)glass aquarium which is half of a 60 gallon cube. Since I have decided to put a few easy SPS in it, I am looking to make a heavy duty lighting setup for it.
I am a non-technical person with a non-science graduate degree.
So, I invite everyone with that required know-how on the subject of electronics to come and lend a helping hand.

As I've mentioned, the height of the tank is 12" with about 10.5" of water column.
I have chosen a bunch of LED lights: 2x660nm+1x450nm\7-9v\300mA; 2x405nm\3.4-3.6v\700mA; 6x495nm\3.2-3.4v\350-700mA; 10x475nm\3.2-3.6v\350-1000mA; 10x450nm\3.0-3.3v\1000mA.

I want these to be controlled by an automatic timer dimmer to go off at night and come back on in the morning all by itself with different wavelengths coming on seperately.
Here's a link: ... HJU1&psc=1

Please look into it and give me your opinion on it as to whether it will be suitable for my setup or not.
