But, why have it setup outside ? We usually do it inside our rooms to avoid the sudden fluctuatons that occur. Do the factors remain within suitable limits and thus not a matter of concern ?

Lol, the Mrs got p*ssed at me that's how it ended up on the balcony, it's worked for the better. I spend more time on the balcony than in the flat, I have a quite large sump area of over 250 litres, water changes and maintenance are easier as spillage is not such an issue. The downside is lots of flying insects, possible monkeys, snakes, frogs, lizards and rats, mosquitoes can be rampant at dusk.
Temperature not an issue, hopefully I'll get the chiller running soon.
