Hello Guy's
I am thinking to start my first marine Tank. I have a 23''X16"X16" cichlids tank now .
In past i have 2 more aquarium , one with angel, danisoni ,fether in a 3ftX1.5ftX1.5ft tand and another 10 discus in a 5ftX2ftx3ft . but unfortunately when i moved out from my home town i have to sell them.
Now I need the following information for my first marine aquarium.

1. I am opting for a 42"X24"X24" tank for my main tank. Now i checked some LFS they are giving only tank estimate as 8500/- , is it ok or over priced?

2. If I am myself pasting the glasses what are the precaution i should take.

3. If i tell the glass dealer to make a hole , what should be the size.

4. I have read asis's aquarium journal but still need list of all the component name for plumbing.

5. Need a sump design for the size of 23''X16"X16" tank (my cichlid tank will be converted to sump :P if wife object for a new sump).

6. any other valuable suggestion i missed which i should take cara in the process.

ok, welcome to KAC!!
demasoni the malawi cichlid?
if so, then amgel with demasoni and feather? No trouble?
The reason i am saying is because of compatibility issue but since you kept discus, i assume you have the basics right!

your main tank dimension is pretty good. But, 8500 for it is pretty overpriced too.

i think you should avoid making your own tank for this venture as it will be risky and if you have to "de-bug". it will not be a cost effective measure. Get a pro to do it. Depending on your location, you can contact Buro da to make it for you, i think even including his charge, it will be less.

The normal plumbing aparatus is either 1" fixtures or 1.5" fixtures, i would prefer 2 1" outlets than 1 1.5" outlet. Thats my opinion.
If you are making 1" plumbing, i would recommend the guy to make a hole of 1.5" diameter as they have drillbits for this.
Or, if possible, get the tank connector and take it to the drilling guy, he can make sure which drill bit to use.

You will need 1 tank connector per hole. if you can arrange 135 degree elbow, that would be the best for your return plumbing. Without the diagram of the sump and the table where you will get the sump, its hard to tell you the exact number of attachments.
But, you will need 90 x 6, 135 x 2, tank connector x 1 and a 1/2 to 1 converter (for the pump's outlet to connect to the return pipe)
A basic idea is as below...give us more details, we can optimize a better response!
