Any dead fish can flow down the river but it takes a live one to swim back up stream.

I also tried similar thing in one my tanks - giving big elevation in one side to crate a hill but I used gravel there. However, I am now afraid I created such a depth where water won't flow properly and whether it will lead to anaerobic bacteria growth leading to bad things in future. Afraid to touch it now but wanted to share the experience as it is not too late for you.

btw - is it all soil that crated the height or there is something below it. All soil will be costly. I now wonder I could have placed a plastic box (with stones inside to make it heavy) or large stones and then put soil/grave on it.

I have seen lot of aquascape in exhibitions where they do things like this. So there should be a good way to achieve this and hope you following that.

yes the elevation is high.
lot of laterite used.
topped by golden sand and platinum soil.
There us rock below to hold the material, still it will come down a bit may be.
Hope things take the right shape

Well, for my case, I used the traditional thing used to stop landslide in mountains - I planted trees !! :D

I have planted Hygrophilia Red (at least that's what I was told when it was sold to me) just around the stones. It has roots in the stem and so far it is holding well (3 weeks). Living in gravel and so far no landslide.

Yes Sanam the land slide was an issue Lots of flat and round rocks
below.Half of elavation was from the previous scape,so it
was already settled. The next part I did by rocks.
Tank is 30'18'15
