Broken edge : Summer Shoot

Postby sahajaydip » Tue Dec 22, 2015 10:35 am

It’s time for a nano. As we are feeling little a mood of winter thought to start the journal.
Tank Spec-
Size -14" * 10" * 12" (Approx 28 lit)
Substrate – Platinum Soil + Sand gravel + white sand
Hard scape material – Driftwood’s and Rocks
Light – LED 5630 6 stripe (may need to change based on the lumens later)
Filter- Dophin Nano canister
CO2 and Dosing: Thought to low tech if required may be little glut, macro and micro
Plants – Not decided yet. Mostly moss ,anubias petite and little fern and crypts
It’s very preliminary stage. Layout not final yet and I am changing it twice daily :) for last 1 week. I can call it now first draft.

I did not know that Dophin had a nano canister. All the stuff that I have sen on the web are over 1000 l/ph. Is yours lower?
Will watch this thread with interest. Low tech nano is something I want to know about :)

Yup, they even have a 400 lph model - that is the one which I have now, though I think it does less than that in real terms. My guess is it is closer to 300 lph based on what I see in the tank.

Sumit da it’s Dophin Canister Filter CF300 (410 L/H) which I purchased around 6 months back from Buro da. I installed it in my 2.5’ tank along with IPF. Now I have replaced that with Sunsun HW -302 so I can use it for Nano. You are right it’s not available now in Indian online or other retail shop.
Thanks
Jaydip

Yes Dipankar. Low tech attract hobbyist mostly due to its low maintainability and less risk & low cost compare to High tech. However challenge here to make to good scape which needs patient with limited plants and slow growth.
Thanks

Yes @Avik, I know it heart you guys dedicated to fish. But I have justification here :D :D :D . As I am not sure whether I need glut here so I am not planning that right away. If it goes well without glut maybe shrimp is an option or else need to think about some hardy fellows .Anyways it will come later as I want the system to be stable before I introduce any fish.
