Sandy substrate alternatives for foreground

Postby gangopadhyay » Tue Dec 06, 2016 4:51 pm

HI,
I will be using some commercial substrate for my plants (18*12*12 tank) but in a fix regarding foreground substrate.
I will be using crypts, vals, Anubias woods and rocks in a triangular pattern while keeping the foreground free. I want something sandy yet do not want to spend a bomb on ADA sands.
Common river sand is too yellow and changes the whole colour of the planted tank.
Any idea about some sandy substrate with whitish yellow appearance?
I am in Chennai.

You can have white sand. It will be a good combination with green.
