Lumens are more accurate and guides a more informative part relatively in terms to aquarium lighting requirements.
Kelvin in lay terms means how deep will the light penitrate water levels. To be exact to know what colour/spectrum of light, you wish or will be able to reach the required aquarium depth .
People related to businessman of lights always compare the light efficiency and analysis via the mention of Lumens.
Thanking You

Kelvin is the colour of the light not the spectrum reqd. to reach the bottom or something. Its the colour of a black body when heated to that temperature in kelvin.

The heat only relative depending on the ability to penetrate the water medium via which the light from the source is sent down to the body
