As i promised to set up a nano planted tank in desert (ref: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7488&p=110762&hilit=oasis#p110762)
So here I am already start the process. The place where I am now posted from my company is a tremendous remote place, only ranges of Aravli, sand and salt. If i wish to set up an aquarium I have to travel over 100 Km to Jaipur to get the necessary things. But I took challenge to set up a nano planted aquarium and for this reason I started collecting the materials. My progress are as follows:
Tank : 1' cube (self made) 5mm glass cost INR 230/- and Silicon tube small X 2 = INR 60
Light fixture : Thin stainless steel cut off required piece and bend it to make 'L' shape and vertically parallel cut one end to form clip to set it on glass wall, holder fixed in plate with silicon and electrical tape. (all the things got available from our company workshop so no expanse)
Light : Presently 7 Watt led (crompton) (got from company workshop)
Substrate : Mould (FYI it is the 'Kankar' mixed in Dal)/its actually looks like small dark silts of Ganges)
Hard scape Rocks : Aravali Rocks collected locally
Wood : Nano drift which i have already
Filtration : Hang on back, I already have
Flow/circulation : Small Internal power filter
Fertilizer : Lab grade Will bring from kolkata during Puja Vacation and Rexolin
CO2 : Seachem Exel and DIY Suger-yeast
Plants : yet not decided
Fishes : Yet not decided
Presently the tank bare bottom with 4 molly and will run up to Puja
