First Time Scaper

Postby DeepSankarSen » Tue Jul 03, 2012 5:33 am

Hey, as you guys know (by my constant irritation  ) by now
i am a hardcore oscarfish fanatic.

The second thing that attracts me is aquascaping.
I love the sheer visual power of the tanks after a successful scape! :)
I'm a huge fan of complete green beds! :) :)

I have a tank with rather awkward dimensions...
24"l x 6"b x 8"h :D
going to be a challenge. 8-)

I'll need info on EVERYTHING!!!
filtration • CO2 • temp control • ideal temp • flora • fauna • hardscape • substrate • fertilizer • shops etc etc etc

So lets all come up with some low-budget scaping ideas together!!!
And lets keep it minimalistic.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You can attain a slope very easily so the hardscape should be something related to slope.

I'd recommend 2 different substrate and plantation on only 2/3rd of the tank and 1/3rd empty space (the empty part something bright...like the substrate i used to make the river)...keeping diagonal or something of that sort would seal the deal i guess...Plants? Its perfect for carpeting plants.assuming the fact that atleast 2.5" will be wasted by substrate and .5" by top level...you get space of around 5" to shape it up.

Lets hear from the big shots!

Subhadeep

i'd suggest the one without the wood. easy to source..easy to make and dimensions perfect.

You have ideas, that the best part of it!!!

I would love to see the second one without the big wood(but with round rocks), why not you search for some died wood roots for that scape. will take a month to process those!!!
