I have suddenly got curious about this particular species.

My tank dimension is
L-24, B-12,H-16

Substrate - DIY

Hardscape - Drift (Galiff)

Livestock - Rams, neons (later after plantation)

Co2 - DIY

Filtration - IPF

My question is, will this species grow to its potential in a DIY substrate with DIY CO2? What should be the lighting requirement and how do they propagate?

As far as my experience with this plant it does well in lower temp around 24-25. Grows fair in DIY CO2 and substrate but growth is slow in DIY's. Needs a proper circulation of water so that algae don't form in them :)

How do they propagate?

like glosso propogates through runners and HM by stem cuttings. What's this plant's mode?

They propagate via runners. Btw what you meant by mode? Btw didn't had that much success with as most of it melt away in the heat :(

Heat is not the problem growing them. 28 degree tank temp is good to grow any grass. But the problem is CO2. Most of the time all the Grasses are coming in emersed form. You need very high steady CO2 for first 1-1.5 months to complete the transformation. Once they will settle down, just keep on doing the hair cut in every 2 weeks for a fast propagation.

No. They produce plantlets from the tip of the leaf.
