okay majaor typo meant malawis and plants :P go for dwarf channs for sufficiently large tank even bigger channas can be kept,however rather go for plants that wont require laterite cause some may actually dig

see if you get a confirmed pair then they may do alright in a 2 feet but thing is that theres no assurance that you would get a breeding pair from just 2 fish theres just a mere 33% chance in that hence 4-6 fishes need to be brought and keeping this many in a 2 feeter would be a bit too much in my opinion

Once i kept them with my goldies in childhood and saw some missing eyes and tails of those poor goldies :(
