Hi Rahul....I would say if have got a very good start..welcome to this wonderful world of aquatic plants...I would say dont bother too much about scaping now..first learn how to grow plants healthy in aquariums..grow different varieties of plants...
i have a few comments about your tank specifications...

rahul wrote:details abt the conditions:
substrate:bottom layer -laterite and vermicompost
middle layer-9l bag of ADA amazonia
top layer-acid treated construction sand
lighting:3x30w spiral CFL and 1T5 HO 10 hrs a day
tank temperature:for the past few days 29C in the morning and around 32C in the afternoon
DIY CO2
no fertilizers yet just a water change of half the volume every 3 days. i only added 2g of KNO3 to trigger the nitrogen cycle but i wont be adding any further

its really good that you have tried to create your own substrate...but tell me why have you added ADA amazonia then? if you want to create your own substrate then i think a complete commercial substrate should be avoided....and i hope you know what is the role of laterite and vermicompost in the substrate..If no then please try to know their roles as it will help you in understanding the requirements of plants as well as the role of the substrate components in plants growth and development...

its better not to use construction sand for growing plants as eventually with time under water pressure it will clog the roots and also the water circulation is very poor through sand. instead 2mm sand gravels or even 4mm sand gravels are a better choice..

spiral cfl I think is a no considering kolkata's heat because of the fact that it generates a good amount of heat which is not good for plants and at the same time the lumen output is lower.PLL is a better choice even..Even 10hrs of photo period is a bit more considering the temperatures and all..

But other than these points i think you have really done well to start off with...make this as a learning experience and learn from your mistakes and rectify them in future..thats how everybody learns.. :)
