Have you ever seen those Nature aquarium books?? Worthless for current days scapers.

Better to grab the IAPLC result publications.

:D

Actually i don't find any BOOKS appealing when it comes to planted tank but only Tropica's Encyclopedia of Plants :D :P

Yes i agree with Tirtha da that the IAPLC result publications.

Btw Tirtha da just for the query why you mentioned that book is not suitable for current day scapers? Though i personally haven't read it fully. One thing that i didn't like is that the book emphasizes more on the ADA's product rather than scaping.

agreed, plus if we use too much ADA or any branded products then where is our skill that you learn so far.

suppose you make an ADA planted tank with a huge cost, then obviously it looks well, but IMO this is not a proper judgement of any planted keeper. a true planted keeper is who makes a beautiful scape with nominal amount of branded products.from last 5-6 years i see some stunners from our very own tirtha da,gecho, amitava da,souvik, jayo and others.

takashi amano's book does not stress on 'how to', rather it can act as a strong inspiration for aquascaping

Those nature aquariums books published long time back , when it was just the beginning for nature aquariums. They mostly contains early works by Amano. But in past couple of year the nature aquascaping scenario changed a lot and we got many talented aquascapers. So now in todays light, if you look back at those scapes, you will find them less interesting.

But there are couple more books by amano, as aquascaping inspiration with lots of beautiful pictures.
