Ocimum sanctum dried one is the best . u need to dry it in shady place and once in a wile souk in water and dry in shady place . after few months can use it in your tank

won't "Ocimum tenuiflorum" do? the structure seemed same to me.

yess use the plant which died naturally chose the oldest plant which form completely like a big tree

Can I use Lemon Tree Twigs (sorry no scientific name). I am soaking it now and the coat is peeled. Can I try it after drying it in shade??

u can try any plant . but if u want fine twigs which looks more nice then try Ocimum sanctum (any tulsi) or any solid wood twigs
