Canister filter issue

Postby Zeeshan » Sun Feb 26, 2017 7:59 pm

Hello guys

I was cleaning my canister filter today and while taking off the filter head, i noticed that a small piece where the hoses go in has broken a bit. Please see yellow arrows in the pic attached. I used fevikwik to attach the broken piece and the filter is working fine, but I am afraid will it cause any problem in the long run if it breaks again?

Please advise

Yeah i hear its a common problem , i find the built quality of sunsusn not so great, it does lead to water leakages later on, but there are some fixes available on youtube you can search for this ...

HI to all , and dear Zeeshan , Plz don't worry about that but from now on when ever u clean it be a bit more careful as u glued it with fevikwik it will last for a lifetime , u can add extra protection by applying a thin layer of silicone to it , u can always ask for a bit of Silicone from ur local fish store and put that in a small carry bar if the LFS isn't far.
