DEAD AROWANA IN A DAY

Postby Ali » Mon Feb 20, 2017 7:16 am

So,
The Arowana I bought from Galiff died yesterday (cause most probably for smashing itself to the tank). :-s
I want to know what I did wrong this time, that I could correct myself in the future.

After getting it early 6am from Galiff, I had got it straight to my quarantine tank after temp accumulating it.
It was very scared & jumpy in nature. It was 4' & I had kept it in a 2.5' aquarium with filter & heater at 30 deg.C.

Was extremely sad & angry at myself that I couldn't keep this lil guy. Should've done more research before getting this. :-\

All thoughts are welcome.

Always had an aquarium at home from childhood Sir, but Arowana this time is a first.
Have kept mostly all sorts of Fresh water regular communities before, had a gap coz was in another state for engg. But after keeping betta in a smaller tank had got a quarantine tank & a 70 gal for this. Having trouble adding photos here Sir. Would love to show you the fish & get your feedback.

No Sir, it wasnt the silver. I'm still unable to add the photos, would love to show you & get opinions.
Now, Im looking for an arowana (preferably not silver). If you have any suggestions Sir please share.

Thanks & Regards
